Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 27, 2026 | Last Updated: March 27, 2026
Indiresume ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our resume builder application.
1. Data Collection & Usage
- Local Storage Only: Indiresume is a "Local-First" application. All data you enter (Name, Contact Information, Work Experience, Education, Skills, and Photos) is stored exclusively on your device's internal storage using a secure local database. We cannot access this data.
- No Server Uploads: We do not operate servers. We do not collect, store, process, or transmit your personal data to any external cloud service or third-party.
- No Account Required: You can use our app without creating an account or providing any personally identifiable information to us.
- Device Permissions: We request access to your device's storage/gallery solely to allow you to select a profile picture or save your generated PDF/DOCX files to your device. These permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
2. Data Retention & Deletion
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, we have no control over it. You can delete your data at any time by:
- Deleting individual resumes within the app
- Clearing the app's data through your device settings
- Uninstalling the application
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Play Services: Our app is distributed via the Google Play Store, which may collect certain diagnostic and usage information as per Google's Privacy Policy. This is outside our control.
- No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or Facebook SDK) that track your behavior across apps or websites.
- No Advertising: We do not display advertisements and do not share your data with advertising networks.
4. Data Security
Since your data remains on your device, its security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend:
- Using a screen lock (PIN, pattern, or biometric)
- Keeping your operating system and security patches up to date
- Only downloading apps from trusted sources (Google Play Store)
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
- GDPR (EU/EEA): Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): Right to know what personal information is collected, right to delete, right to opt-out of sale (we do not sell data), and right to non-discrimination.
- Other Jurisdictions: Similar rights may apply under local privacy laws.
Since we do not collect or store your personal data, most data subject requests can be fulfilled by you directly through the app's local data management features.
6. Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Changes are effective when posted.
